Conceicao Silva
The 10 photographs reproduced here were taken in early January, 1999. Since then, INEP has been hit again, thereby suffering even more damage than is documented in these photos.
At the time these photographs were taken, the INEP complex was serving as barracks for 400 Senegalese troops, but photographing the military presence (vehicles, weapons, soldiers) was not permitted.
